What's up guys. Love all your recent shows especially the ones where you interrogate Slipcase for info on future releases from Scream Factory. I have a 2 questions for you guys. I've never heard you guys review or gave your opinion about the movie The Exorcist. I wonder if u think this movie is a horror classic? And lastly I was wondering is there a year from the 80s you haven't done a Year in Review show for? Thanks Guys. And Uncle Bill why no love for Rec 3.

Hey shitkickers! Just want to say I love the show and am an avid listener. Im promising myself to make more time for the forum to chat with other Deadpit heads! I just have 2 questions. First, is would you guys ever consider making a commentary for one of the Children of the Corn movies? I think it would be fucking hilarious to hear you tear into one of these! And 2nd, how is the Deadpit premium site coming along? I would gladly kill someone to hear some of the earlier episodes once again!
Keep doing your thing guys, and fuck anyone who is against you!
Anyhow, I did research on the title for the topic (10-27-2012 post). I have some answers.
First off Twilight Time has the exclusive license, nobody can put out a Blu-Ray unless its them; their contract with Sony expires in three years.

Second, Tom Savini blessing on the transfer was bought, he was paid for his quote after it was sold out. He did not work on the transfer, at all.
This is a quote from Patricia Tallman from the DVD, making-of featurette. "When we started shooting, we started with the beginning of the script, which was the graveyard scene. This was spring time in Pittsburgh; we wanted to have that gloomy, rainy kind of thing going on - which I believe is the way it is in the original. Instead we had these glorious, sunshining, blue days with birds chirping in the background. Not scary at all. But at the end, Tom loved it, 'cause its the opposite; it was the opposite of what you expected. And that's what he kept doing in that scene."

Third, Twilight Time made such a big deal that the transfer was approved by the filmmakers, going as far as to say that the director of photography was consulted. Yes, he was - in a superficial way.
In November of last year, Cinema Lowdown interviewed Frank Prinzi. He said...
A couple weeks back you asked a question - what podcast number you're on?
That number is 336 (counting your recent Poltergeist retro entry); this includes those times when you gave free movie commentaries and convention coverage - that is, all the entries for that event I've counted as one.
Well, that's not entirely accurate... there is another program, lost to the ether. Years and years ago you did a live streaming episode. I couldn't get on and wasn't for download. So, that number would be 337, if you want to count that experiment.
ok... simple dick question... Independent Horror Survivor was like... funniest show ever... when are you doing it again? In the original you said you wouldnt do it more than once a year YOU REALLY NEED TO DO IT AGAIN it was just hilarious hearin you trash that shit and hearing your pain. Its like how its funny when your friends get hurt. YOU GOTTA DO IT AGAIN!!! Fuuucccckkkkk
Also, really love the retrospective episodes. Schwarzenegger's episodes with all the accents had me constantly rolling. I used to listen to you guys back in 2006 and kinda fell off but I'm recently getting back to the pit. THANKS FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT BOLZ!!!.. or however the fuck thats spelled
and I thought this was an interesting tidbit.... Danielle Harris' wikipedia says that the person who stalked her or w/e, was obsessed with her character on Roseanne.. and not Halloween... That sounds like boooshit

CK, you are hanging out with the wrong crowd. Here at my house, we BBQ steak, chicken, and our favorite roast. We buy a big roast at the store, bring it home & cut it into bite-size pieces. If you guys get tired of the cheap-ass burgers & hot-dogs, come to Campbellsville, KY, we'll hook you up.
CK, I know you'd have the answer to this, being huge fellow Halloween fan, like myself. Has there been an official Halloween box set, import or domestic, DVD or Blu-Ray? If not, any rumors of upcoming releases? With the announcement of the Friday The 13th box set, I'm hoping, at the very least, it will get those guys thinking about it.
Steve, you keep getting better every show you do. Embrace the nickname "The B Plan", its cool.

bradtheman: Like all things in life, Deadpit Radio's run had to end at some point. Towards the end, Wes, Aaron, and Steve's hearts weren't in it and that it was time to move on. For what it's worth, I like to thank the threesome for inspiring me to do commentaries.

oldhorrorfan: Stuttering Steve Bumblefuck B Plan was worse than Aids on there and was one of the Main reasons the show went to shit so fast..

bradtheman: That and the horror genre was going down the tubes when Aaron and Wes signed off. It still is with the Child's Play remake and I Spit on Your Grave: Deja Vu as examples.

newt138: No mainstream horror was going down the tubes. There was plenty of good mainstream horror. But as fat fuck Wes told many people "Unless we get sent a copy for free I Aint reviewing it."

psychostillvicious: Greetings one and all. Don't know if anyone remembers me, but whatever. I was a poster here many moons ago. God I loved Deadpit. I'm just strolling down memory lane after hearing some sad news from Wes on facebook. Long live DP.
