The only Hills Have Eyes movie I haven't seen is the sequel to the original. It took me a couple of watches to get into the original but I now thoroughly enjoy it. I just thought the remake was pointless and the mutants were ridiculous. The sequel to the remake was shocking in how bad it was. My question is: is the original Hills Have Eyes 2 so bad that it's hilarious or so bad that it's unwatchable?
Speaking of remakes, I finally saw the Elm Street remake last month and all I can say is if I ever run into Samuel Bayer, I will punch him in the face. Even though I didn't really care for Jackie Earl Haley as Freddy, he wasn't the reason it was so bad. It was just unimaginative, boring, and run-of-the-mill with some of the worst actors ever. The way CK feels about the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake is how I feel about this movie. My question is, which do you think is worse: this or the Rob Zombie Halloweens? Not an original question, I know, but I had to get this off my chest because that movie made me so mad. While I still hate the Halloweens more because I like that franchise better, this is not too far behind. Sorry for my rant and take care.
You guys said last week to write in questions so here's a bunch:
Have you guys seen the new Bret Hart/Shawn Michaels dvd yet? I did and it's pretty damn good.
You guys are screening Halloween 4 this weekend. For those of us not able to make it, what are your thoughts about that film? I love Donald Pleasance, the music, Danielle Harris, Ellie Cornell, and the awesome ending.
CK, are you glad Lindsay Lohan is doing Playboy? A few years back you said you liked her since she's such a train wreck.
What celebrity do you most want to walk up to at a convention and be like...HEY...FUCK YOU...DICK.

hey, guys, i thank yall sooooo fucking much for mentioning the scary stories to tell in the dark, remember them as a kid and have been looking for them, but forgot their name, thank you again. also the artwork is fuckin killer
For the longest time, I've felt that Sam Raimi honestly doesn't give two craps about his fans. The guy has even admitted that he doesn't care for horror films and only did The Evil Dead to get into the film business. The fact that he ignored his fans begging him to do an Evil Dead 4 for years in favor of a remake further proves that to me. What do you think?
James Rolfe, aka the Angry Video Game Nerd, has always said that his big aspiration is to be a director and make theatrical movies one day. Do you think he has what it takes? I think he undoubtedly has talent but I think his films sometimes tend to be clusterfucks of all the stuff he likes and is inspired by. Take care, guys.

bradtheman: Like all things in life, Deadpit Radio's run had to end at some point. Towards the end, Wes, Aaron, and Steve's hearts weren't in it and that it was time to move on. For what it's worth, I like to thank the threesome for inspiring me to do commentaries.

bradtheman: That and the horror genre was going down the tubes when Aaron and Wes signed off. It still is with the Child's Play remake and I Spit on Your Grave: Deja Vu as examples.

newt138: No mainstream horror was going down the tubes. There was plenty of good mainstream horror. But as fat fuck Wes told many people "Unless we get sent a copy for free I Aint reviewing it."

psychostillvicious: Greetings one and all. Don't know if anyone remembers me, but whatever. I was a poster here many moons ago. God I loved Deadpit. I'm just strolling down memory lane after hearing some sad news from Wes on facebook. Long live DP.
